Melbourne - Day 2 (Part 3) Melbourne Nightlife

It was well into night when we arrived in the CBD we were STARVING =P After dropping off our bags at the hostel, we walked along the Flinders Lane to a vegetarian restaurant Vapiano Flinders Lane. The concept of this restaurant is unique as you will be given a card per person to spend on. It was a self service restaurant where you can go to the different sections of foods such as pasta, pizza and bar. Upon ordering, you need to tap the card give to you and price of the meal will be added to your card. The pasta made there not only in-house handmade everyday but they also will be cooked right in front of you. I chose a vegetarian-alcohol free aglio olio pasta and Mariya ordered a lasagna. It was a fancy restaurant so it was a bit pricey but hey you are exploring new things in another country. I’d say it was worth it. The pasta was good but it does taste differently than the ones that I’ve had in Malaysia.

After dinner, we went hunting for desert and decided for Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream right outside our hostel. Happy to get ice creams in a cold night, we decided to walk long Yarra River to soak in Melbourne CBD nightlife. We strolled on Southbank Pedestrian Bridge (Evan Walker Bridge) and Sandridge Bridge took pictures along the Flinders Walk. It had been such a long time that I just strolled and walked for the sake of taking in my surrounding and enjoying people watching and a couple of people busking along Southbank Promenade. We walked till we reach the art precinct and turn back as we will go there tomorrow and took Princes Bridge to our hostel.
When its cold... eat ice cream =p
