Melbourne - Day 1 (Part 2) Melbourne CBD

Since it was lunch and we haven’t eaten yet, we decide to grab a quick lunch before exploring Melbourne CBD. Halal food in Melbourne was not hard to find and besides I already search for halal food before coming there. One of the must eat halal food in Melbourne was Lord of Fries. It was popular for their fries with various sauces and even had a Malaysian sauce. I bought a vegan Chick’n burger with a side of French Canadian fries. The portion was really huge and I can only manage to finish the fries for lunch. Then we when to Sushi Hub Swanston next door so that Mariya can get her lunch.

We started our journey by walking to Flinders Lane Station and found ourselves crossing this huge crossing lane to the station and took some pictures in front of the building. After that, we headed to Degraves Street and strolled the various cafes and made our way to Block Arcade. Block Arcade was a beautiful rooftop lane that had various shop and boutique along the way. It was almost Easter Egg so we walked passed lots of chocolate boutique that displays Easter Egg themed chocolate. After walking through a couple more lanes, we finally found the Royal Arcade. This arcade was even more stunning than the Black Arcade. The checker tiles and the glass roof made the place sophisticated with its rows of high end shops.

When walked to Bourke Street Mall and found a street performer playing an Australian instrument called Didgeridoo. We did some window shopping at the H&M and I lost Mariya for a couple of minutes there (I was too focused on window shopping to notice her gone) and a call later she found me =p After the lost and found situation settled, we heard to Niagara Lane and found this beautiful red brick buildings and we started another photo shoot session.

Bourke Street Mall

There was a Comedy Festival when we were there

Biggest H&M I've ever seen!!

Probably when I lost Mariya in H&M =P

Niagara Lane

We walked back through Bourke Street Mall to Hosier Lane to hunt colored walls. One of the most iconic things in Melbourne was its street arts. Almost everywhere we went in CBD, the lanes were covered with stunning street arts and people trying to get themselves a strip of wall to pictures with.
